Profession de foi

(appelée aussi Communion Solennelle)

Du latin professio « action de déclarer ouvertement et publiquement ». Vers 12 ans, au cours d’une messe, les enfants baptisés et ayant fait leur première communion confessent leur foi en présence de leurs familles. La profession de foi n’est pas un sacrement, mais une étape vers une foi plus personnelle. C’est aussi une fête familiale.
